Allenby-Aldershot 11kv Connection
Aldershot Garrison is currently supplied with electricity at a voltage of 33kV and the MoD has privately owned 33/11kV transformers which supply the main 11kV switchboards at the Garrison.
The 33kV connection is to be replaced with a new 11kVconnection directly from Scottish & Southern. The new 11kV connection will include a new 11kV switchboard, enabling the old transformers and switchboard at the garrison to be de-commissioned and scrapped. The works include:
- Design and construction of a new switchroom.
- Installation of new switchgear.
- Installation of new 11kV circuits from Scottish and Southern's network (approx. 2000m long).
- Transfer of Aldershot 11kV circuits from old to new switchboards.
- Removal and disposal of redundant electrical plant.
