This project is the design and engineering, fabrication and procurement of a new active fire protection system to replace the existing deluge system with foam pourers.

Installation of new ring mains around each of the 5 bunds on site. The new ring mains will comprise a number (which varies dependent upon bund size) of new foam pourers and will be connected into the existing firewater deluge system.  Destruct of the redundant deluge pipework. Installation of two new fire water monitors adjacent to the north bund

Long O Donnell provided CDM works as follows:

  • Issued F10, notified HSE
  • Reviewed Construction Phase plan, sent adequacy letters for construction to start.
  • Monitor the Construction Phase Plan and advise the client of suitability and managing the flow of health and safety information between all parties.
  • Finalize the layout for the Health and Safety File, in talks with PSN and client.
  • Site visits and audits during removal and reinstallation of the Gas Chiller.
  • Complete Health and Safety File, hand over file to Client
