This project involved the alterations to South Intake Switch room 33/11Kv and Refurbishment

The site is the existing live electrical substation at Heathrow South Intake area. The Construction site boundary is within the existing compound area. The work consists of alterations to the existing switch room, providing a new mezzanine floor, alterations to the external bund, new cable trenching and cable bridge steelwork.  Plus the ground and first floor complete office, garage and workshop refurbishment.

Long O Donnell Associates was awarded the EDF Energy CDM Coordination services framework contract for a period of up to 5 years commencing in October 2008.

The contract required Project Services to include CDM Coordination on EDF HV networks including infrastructure, rail and airport projects.
