NGN Project Services Framework

Northern Gas Networks is introducing a new strategy for Professional Services and coordination for the development, design and delivery of projects associated with the NGN Network.

Long O Donnell have been commissioned to provide Professional Services support to cover the full project life cycle.   Typically Professional Services support will be required for the following activities as listed below: 

  • Project Management and Planning.
  • Data assessment, interpretation and reporting.
  • Support in preliminary design development / detailed design development in accordance with the IGE/G17 approval process.
  • Support in disciplined design engineering including Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation.
  • Support to specialist Instrumentation and Communication activities
  • Management / Responsibility for Sub-Contracted activities where these form part of the Project Services activities.
  • Quantitive Risk Assessment and Programme Management Support
  • Development of Project Control Procedures, Quality and Management Systems and generation of Management Reporting Information.
  • Involvement in the Management / Supervision of Construction activities, and the provision of key staff under the direction of NGN.
  • Environmental advice, management and auditing
  • Quality Assurance advice / control, management and reporting.
  • Health and Safety advice, management and auditing.
  • Planning Supervision in accordance with CDM Regulations
  • Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering / Cost Control / Commercial Administration.
  • Contract documentation development, preparation and administration.
  • Management of Inspection Services, Land Agency and Agricultural Liaison services under the direct control of NGN.
